The 13 Grandmother Moon Teachings
The full moon is a powerful time for reflection, renewal, and connection. Guided by the 13 Teachings of Grandmother Moon, these activities help us honour the cycles of life and the energy of the moon. From meditation and self-reflection to cleansing and ceremony, the full moon offers an opportunity to release what no longer serves us, recharge our spirit, and strengthen our relationship with the land, water, and Creation.

Full Moon Activities
Full moon meditation. Go outside barefoot to feel the connection to the land along with the energy of the full moon. Find a comfortable spot to sit under the moonlight, close your eyes, and visualize the moon’s beam filling the space around your body. Focus on breathing and imagine the moonlight purifying your body, mind and spirit.
Full moon ceremony. This ceremony honours Grandmother Moon through prayer, song, and offerings. Often led by women, it includes blessing water and reflection, giving thanks, and letting go of what no longer serves us to restore balance in spirit, heart, mind, and body.
Moon water. Leave a bottle of water in the moonlight to charge overnight. With this moon water, you can drink it or use it in a bath.
Cleansing. This is a time when you can reflect and allow yourself to let go of things from the past. You may also want to cleanse and renew yourself and home by smudging, taking a bath, decluttering, and releasing any negative energy.
Self-reflection. This is a time where one can engage in some self-reflection – where are you currently at, any patterns or behaviours that do not serve you or others, and any relationships that are no longer serving you.

Full Moon Reflection
The moon teaches us that we are always growing, changing, and evolving. The phases of the moon are constantly reminding us that this too shall pass, and that life is full of beginnings.
